Manage Azure with Orchestrator

Instead of managing an Azure subscription manually i wanted to do this with orchestrator.

So how to do this. First of all you will have to add a certificate to your Windows Azure subscription.

You can buy one or make one of your own. You can do this in several ways. One to do this is e.g. by makecert.exe or with IIS.

In this case i used IIS (already installed with orchestrator).

Click on Server Certificates

Then click on create self-signed certificate in the actions pane.

After creating you certificate export it as an .CER file. You can do this by right click your certificate. -> view -> details and then copy to file.

Upload this to your management certificates store on the settings pane of you subscription.

Now intregrate the Windows Azure pack into Orchestrator and configure the prerequisite page.

point to the local .cer file on your ochestrator server and add the subscribtion of you azure account.

Now you’re all setup to use the Azure activities.

Happy Orchestrating!
